First Impressions

From the moment we entered Tropic Falls at OWA, we were greeted by vibrant tropical-themed decor and a lively atmosphere. The park’s layout is intuitive, making it easy to navigate between attractions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

Water Park Highlights

We started our adventure at the indoor water park, which was a welcome respite from the midday heat. The retractable glass ceiling allowed natural light to pour in, creating a bright and airy environment. Our kids loved the oversized dump bucket and the lazy river, though it was a bit narrow and crowded at times. The six wild water slides offered thrills for all ages, and the tropical play area was perfect for younger children.

Theme Park Thrills

After a few hours in the water park, we ventured into the outdoor theme park. The variety of rides catered to all ages. Our 10-year-old was thrilled by the Rollin’ Thunder coaster, while our 7-year-old enjoyed the Tea Time and Zip Zap Race. The Alabama Wham’a was a hit with the entire family, offering a unique spinning experience.

Dining Experience

Lunchtime brought us to Grub, located inside the water park. We indulged in a Kona BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, which was flavorful and satisfying. The menu offered a variety of options, and the staff were attentive and efficient. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the Dole Whip—a refreshing treat to cool down.

Shopping and Entertainment

After lunch, we explored Downtown OWA. The Trop Shop offered a range of souvenirs, from plush toys to tropical-themed apparel. We also caught a live performance at the OWA Theater, enjoying a tribute band that brought the energy of a Vegas show to Foley.

Our visit to Tropic Falls at OWA was a memorable experience. The combination of water attractions, thrilling rides, and family-friendly atmosphere made for a perfect day out. While the park can get crowded during peak times, the variety of activities ensures there’s something for everyone. We left with smiles on our faces and plans to return in the future.
